...why?!

x.o Because the script writers have issues with the Japanese pronunciation "akh-ma"? It's the same with Kurogane in Tsubasa. His name is supposed to be pronounced "Ku-ro-GA-ne", but they have it pronounced "Ku-RO-ga-ne". *shrugs* It's just...odd... ... ... ...;^; Myugen...

...I'm going to cry if they pronounce Chaoji's name as 'Ch-ay-oji'...

xDD *bursts out laughing* I imagined that with a severe southern/Texan accent. (Love those accents, btw~) Yeah, I doubt they'd do that, per se, but you never know. xDDD

Given that you already have ah-KOO-ma and mm-YU-gen, ch-AH-wji isn't too far off.

Let's not forget Ko-MOO-i. ;; Well, with any luck they'll get it right. ^^; Right now, my main concern is Jasdevi... Though the other day, I figured that if Vic Mignogna and Greg Ayers get one of the two halves, we should be a lot less worried. xD

;; M-myugen...
Yeah, it sounds like they did. There's supposed to be a slight emphasis on the "Ko".

Indeed. They really did screw up the pronunciation on things, emphasis-wise.. ~_~
Oh! I wonder if Phantom Thief G will be Phantom Leaf G or something. XDDD Or maybe the-yef.

xDDD As hillarious and sad as that'd be, I'm pretty sure that they know how to pronounce the words in their own language. Of course, first the Japanese actualy have to make those episodes before we get 'em.

*nod nod*
When I first heard the translation for Mugen I lol'd. If it were just simply Myugen, I'd be okay..ish... with it. If it were Mighty MOO-gen, it would be funny...
BUT THEY HAD TO DO MIGHTY MYOOGEN!!
Wah. myugen <_<

Alrighty, season two's out.. right? I ought to watch the episodes then, see how they did with it..
Overall, I think the dub's pretty good. The only major issue is pronunciation being way off.. but then again, japanese/engrish-->english.. >>;;

The second half of season 1's out. The first half of season 2'll be out in October. I went to a convention last weekend and Todd Haberkorn was there!! oo He said that Jason Liebrecht (the voice of Lavi and the Earl) was in a car accident or something and ended up shattering his left leg so he ended up voice-matching the Earl and Chris Patton voice-matched Lavi. I don't know if that's for the whole first half of the second season or just part of it. But, in any case, if Lavi and the Earl sound funky, that's why. BTW, I got Haberkorn doing Allen with a British accent!! It made this one quite happy. I'll show it to you guys once I get off my lazy rear and get it up on YouTube. He also did something Lavi-esque with regards to Lavi summoning his hammer in Japanese. I don't know if I caught that or not, but no lie - he sounded almost exactly like Japanese Lavi. Don't know why he didn't end up doing Lavi, but it was great to hear in any case. Also, I think that the dub is fairly good as well. =3 Kanda's voice is still off by an octave or two in terms of pitch, but you get used to it after a while. Granted it still bites when compared to the Japanese, but, well, I dunno. xD I like it.
